About Descent Productions

Descent Productions first began back in 04’ with not a great deal of direction on where it was to head, besides a young self taught filmmaker, taping and editing his captured footage from the “lowrider” shows he had come to love and enjoy and playing them to his mates. Living along the East Coast of Australia a small but developing Minitruckin’ scene were already around and we were beginning to see more and more shows begin to take place along the East Coast and in some other parts of Australia.

It wasn’t until the 05’, and early 06’ show seasons that we truly decided that we would gather up all of our captured footage from the shows and try and make a small and relatively amateur DVD, which we called “Day Of Descent”.

As the DVD was purely a trial/promo to see what we could do and also show people what we were capable of, we didn’t have any rights to any music content for our soundtrack, so we used all of our songs we were into at the time and began throwing out copies for free at every show and event we went to, to give the people of the scene a little taste of what was to come from us.

With positive feedback from the promo DVD, it was time to start planning to make a semi - professional Minitruckin DVD that would show the upcoming Minitruck scene and all the shows and individuals rides that everyone was waiting to see. So for the next 2 years, we travelled to every show we could possibly get too and hunted down some of the stand out trucks themselves to film, and edit into the DVD , which we would call “Descent - Australian Minitruckin” that premiered at East Coast Cruise in Batemans Bay, NSW in late November of 08‘.

As it turns out, Descent, was the very first all Australian Minitruckin DVD and is somewhat a benchmark that we will always proudly have behind us. Since the release we have sold close to a 1000 copies and are still gradually selling to people from all over the world. Our crew is still small but are always trying to push the boundaries and make each instalment step up from the next.

Currently we are filming for our next DVD in the Descent series which will be bigger and better, nevertheless, still showing our scene the way it is and bringing you along on the journey...
